At this time, families will not be allowed in the building. Check-in/out procedures, including screening and temperature checks will happen outside. Staff will greet children and families curbside or outside the building and walk children in and out of the building. There will be a hand hygiene station at the entrance to our building so children and parents can clean their hands. There will be place markers 6 feet apart near our entrance so families know where to stand safely from one another while waiting to check-in.
Our Senior Camper program provides an opportunity for teenage campers to continue to attend camp while learning necessary job skills at the same time. Senior Campers will assist adult counselors and other camp staff members as they plan and oversee activities for campers. This includes ensuring the well-being, safety and supervision of all campers and leading and/or assisting with games and activities. Senior campers should display maturity, responsibility snd initiative; while also being open and receptive to feedback.
UEC is offering a $100 discount for 8 week camp sessions that are paid in full (contact us for this option). There is a 10% sibling discount offered to siblings in the same household. We accept Child Care Subsidy Scholarships. These forms are due at least 2 weeks before your child is scheduled to attend so that they may be processed. Contact DSS to see if you qualify.
Campers are encouraged to bring a snack from home to eat during snack time. There will also be a snacks available for purchase from the snack store. Snacks range from $0.25 to $2.50. You may set up a snack account for your camper in which you send in money to the camp store and the amount they spend each day will be deducted from their account.
Rules and Regulations
We want to ensure that your child will have the ultimate camp experience by having you to adhere to a few notes below to foster a meaningful camp experience for your child. To ensure your child’s safety along with the safety of other campers, we strongly suggest that you go over these absolutes. There will absolutely be:
- no hitting
- no spitting
- no kicking
- no obscene/inappropriate touching
- no obscene/inappropriate language
We reserve the right to cancel any child’s camp privileges with no refund for breaking any one of the rules. If there is a problem or your child feels there is a problem, we would recommend the child come to an adult staff member so we could resolve the situation immediately. Most, if not all, situations are preventable if our campers were perfect. Knowing that everyone falls short of grace sometimes, we ask that you repetitiously remind your son(s) and/or daughter(s) to treat others the way they would want to be treated. All children must be at a stage where they are willing to share, display sportsmanship and work well with others. If a camper sees a child doing something inappropriate we expect that child to inform an adult immediately. We expect all campers to listen and respect the authorities of Camp United. There will be NO PHYSICAL CONTACT tolerated. CHILDREN MUST KEEP THEIR HANDS AND FEET TO THEMSELVES.
